San Gimignano is an extraordinary example of medieval town, with its famous towers and elegant palaces, witnesses of its illustrious past. The complex of the Civic Museums include the Town Hall and Torre Grossa which, due to their exceptional historical and artistic scene in Europe, constitute, together with the Cathedral frescoed, the hub from which departs every itinerary.
The tour includes the Romanesque church of San Lorenzo in Ponte which decorated throughout with a cycle of frescoes depicting the afterlife, with evocative details of Hell, Purgatory and Heaven.
