Spezieria di santa FinaThis room exhibits a collection of pharmacy vessels made between the XV and XVIII centuries, in addition to glass containers that can be dated between the XVI and XVIII centuries, which come from the Spezieria of the Hospital founded in 1253. In medieval Florence, the term Spezieria indicated the guild of physicians and pharmacists, called spicers, which was one of the city's seven major guilds. Today's layout revives the look of an ancient pharmacy, which was divided into an area where medicinal preparations were sold, and the workshop area where they were made.
